Ever since his arrest, people are looking back at Diddy‘s past to see all the red flags that have popped up. One particular thing that people found is his back tattoo.
Diddy was arrested in New York on September 16, 2024. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and was refused bail. His Los Angeles house was raided by Homeland Security earlier in the year, in connection to an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation. The indictment was unsealed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

“The indictment alleges that between at least 2008 and the present, Combs abused, threatened and coerced victims to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams told reporters.
Fans are looking back at Diddy’s tattoo that he got in 2017 and are raising their eyebrows at the meaning. “I got the front And She got my BACK!!! Tat by @NikkoHurtado,” Diddy said at the time.
What does Diddy’s back tattoo mean?
Diddy has a tattoo of The Black Madonna on his back. Many people believe this tattoo is actually the Haitian voodoo spirit Ezili Dantor, whose depiction takes inspiration from the Black Madonna of Częstochowa.
Ezili Dantor is a key figure who is associated with divinity of love, motherhood, and womanhood. She’s a fierce protector of women and will do anything in her power to protect them. When she is angered, she shows her wrath through natural disasters. She was popular among single mothers during the 1980s and 1990s in Haiti and Dominican Republic.
Some people believe that Diddy getting a tattoo of Ezili Dantor is “paying for his crime” against women. “That’s wild he would put that on his back considering she don’t play about women and children,” one person posted on X. One person replied to the tweet, “And she won’t ever protect you if you’re at fault.”
The tattoo could have another meaning attached to it. When the tattoo artist posted about his art, he wrote, “@diddy I have to say thank you for giving me this opportunity I am grateful to be able to share this time collaborating on such a beautiful piece of art with you. I could go on and on about what this piece means to me and being able to do this for you. But I will just say thank you for you being a gentleman and being great to me with and experience I will carry with me forever. #blessed @blackanchorworldwide @badboyent”
