J Balvin has been chosen as ESPN’s official music curator for Monday Night Football of the 2024-25 NFL season. Balvin will work with ESPN throughout the season selecting the music for select games in the series. His musical selections will be heard in ESPN’s promotional spots. Monday Night Footballin live broadcasts and in Monday Night Countdown for seven weeks this season, including two weeks of NFL playoffs.
In total, Balvin will provide music for seven matches, kicking off his healing period with his new song “DOBLEXXO” featuring Feid, from his recently released album Ray. The first game for which Balvin will curate the music will be the New York Jets vs. San Francisco 49ers game on Monday, September 9. However, Balvin’s musical selection will begin playing this Friday (August 30), when his song will be used in the themed spot of Monday Night ESPN Week 1, a quick clip featuring Jets and 49ers players on the field with Balvin’s music as the soundtrack. Balvin is the latest superstar to join the music curation program Monday Night Footballjoining a list that includes previous curators Timbaland and Justin Timberlake (2023), Marshmello (2022), Drake (2021), DJ Khaled (202) and Diplo (2019).

His musical choices capture the anticipation and excitement that the ESPN football season offers, and we can’t wait for him to join us on this journey all season long.”
Following the first match on September 9, Balvin will select a song to use each designated week. While it has not been announced which songs he will use, they could be his own or from other artists.

Balvin has long been associated with different sports and athletes, and in 2022, he became the first Latin artist to headline an NFL kickoff concert, performing in Long Beach, California, before the first game of the 2022 regular season.
In October, the Colombian star will headline Billboard Latin Music Week 2024, where he will curate a show with surprise performances and participate in an intimate conversation. The event is scheduled for October 14-18 at The Fillmore Miami Beach, at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, Florida. Tickets are available now. here.
