After Diddy’s arrest in September 2024, the public made a harrowing discovery about the excessive use of baby oil in his sex crimes. The Bad Boy Records founder was charged with prostitution and racketeering.
The rapper‘s home in Los Angeles was raided in March of that same year, conducted by Homeland Security, in connection to an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation. The investigation came after Diddy’s ex Cassie came forward with allegations of abuse. What was found during the raid was stated in an indictment for his arrest.

Why did Diddy have so much baby oil?
Diddy used baby oil for his freak-off sessions, which were “elaborate and produced sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded.” Take a look at more details below.

Cassie’s Allegations
In a civil suit court document, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura recalled that his assistants would supply baby oil and Astroglides during the Freak Offs. Diddy would then instruct his girlfriend to pour “excessive amounts” of oil over herself.
Before the freak offs happened, Diddy gave ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, ketamine, marijuana, and alcohol in excessive amounts to Cassie which allowed her to disassociate during these horrific encounters.
Diddy’s Indictment
Diddy’s indictment did not specify what the baby oil was used for, but it specified that it was a required substance for the freak offs. On page 7 of the indictment, prosecutors claimed that “Members and associates of the Combs Enterprise, including high-ranking supervisors, security staff, household staff, personal assistants, and other Combs Business employees, facilitated the freak-offs by, among other things, booking hotel rooms for the freak-offs.”
This included “stocking the hotel rooms in advance with the required freak-off supplies, including controlled substances, baby oil, lubricant extra linens and lighting; cleaning the hotel rooms after the freak-offs to try to mitigate room damage; arranging travel for victims, commercial sex workers … and resupplying Combs with requested supplies; delivering large sums of cash to Combs.”
Diddy’s Lawyer Responds
In an interview with TMZ for their documentary The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo made comments about the freak-offs and the baby oil. “Back when I was a kid in the late ’70s, they were called threesomes,” Agnifilo said.
When he was asked about the sheer number of baby oil bottles, he responded, “I don’t know where the number ‘1,000’ came from. I can’t imagine it’s thousands [of bottles of baby oil and lube], and I’m not really sure what the baby oil has to do with anything.”
TMZ’s Harvey Levin explained that it could be used as “a lubricant for an orgy,” the rapper’s attorney responded, “I guess — I don’t know what you need a thousand [for]. One bottle of baby oil goes a long way. I don’t know what you need a thousand for.”
He also asserted that Diddy bought the items from a Costco. “[Diddy] has a big house. He buys in bulk. I think they have Costcos in every place where he has a home. I mean, have you sat in a parking lot of a Costco and see what people walk out of there with?”
Costco has denied the allegations and stated that they do not sell baby oil in any of their stores.
